Plamika and FAS Converting,
a successful partnership

Since the start of 2006, we at Plamika have continuously developed our business with focus on quality products, punctuality and becoming a reliable partner for customers and other bag manufacturers who need to increase their capacity. Recently we have invested in 4 new production lines from FAS Converting to meet the increasing demand for high quality garbage bags made out of recycled material (PCR), Marius Maslauskas owner of Plamika.

FAS Converting has helped us throughout the whole process, ensuring that we invest in the right solution based on our situation today and our future potential. Now after running our new FAS Converting lines for the first year, we are already seeing results as we have a wider and more competitive product portfolio towards our main markets. We can now offer a bigger product range with T-shirt and S-cut/Wave-top bags, which has helped us to gain a larger market share in Western Europe including  Scandinavia. Today we supply bags not only to our customers, but also to other producers in the industry who need to increase their capacity temporarily and where quality is important.

The two companies environmental policies also share a common view on today’s critical situation and what needs to be done. Therefore, we have collaborated with FAS Converting at international exhibitions and sponsored them with our own recycled material so that we together can increase the awareness about efficient solutions to produce products with 100% recycled content.

First time I met Marius (owner) was at the K-show 2016 when I was new at FAS Converting. It has been a true pleasure to work with Plamika throughout the years and I have always appreciated their open and honest feedback during our discussions. They have treated us as a partner instead of a supplier, with open books about budgets, goals and expectations, which has given us the opportunity to actually do our job in the best possible way and guide them in the right direction. We enjoy our work and no customer is too small or too big for us. We are here to help and that is how we want to grow our business, Joakim says.

2020 in review

It’s been a tough and challenging year, but also a positive one for FAS Converting. We were able to reach a new record in turnover and we are thankful for the continued trust that we have received from our existing customers. We have also had the pleasure of welcoming new customers from markets like Africa, Eastern Europe, Baltics and North America, and are truly looking forward to getting out and meeting with all of them as soon as travel restrictions are eased.

As this year has been different and unpredictable in many ways, we at FAS Converting would also like to thank our customers for all the patience and understanding during the challenges we sometimes experienced while managing this year’s growth during the ongoing pandemic. The positive thing is that we have developed in many areas and also been forced to find new methods to communicate and support our customers from distance. This is something we will continue to develop and which we believe will improve the customer experience when working with FAS Converting in the future.

New market trends!

Health authorities all over the world have been in need of single use aprons for their hard working healthcare personnel. At FAS Converting we have adapted to the new demands directly connected to the ongoing global pandemic.

We are glad that we have had the opportunity to increase the supply of aprons by supplying our customers with express deliveries of new equipment.

It feels gratifying to be able to make this contribution in these demanding times.

We continue to have apron lines in our production schedule, and we expect a continued growth and demand of aprons on roll. We also believe the usage of personal protective equipment such as aprons will increase in other industries and segments in the future.

Today we offer two different apron lines with main differences in budget and output. Both lines contains a modular cutter that is also suitable for t-shirt and s-cut production.

  • FC Apron Line for lower initial investment budgets and with less demand on high output. Especially suitable for in-line production with extruder, but can also be used with unwind for production from a master roll.

  • CT Apron Line for higher output. Able to run apron production inline or off-line at 120m/min. Equipped with the high-end rotary cutter CT500.CT Apron Line (ext link YouTube)
