FAS Converting enjoyed
a successful time at K2019!
FAS Converting participated in the K2019 in Düsseldorf, Germany with a greater booth then the years before and a live demonstration of two machine lines.
The K show brings together more than 225,000 visitors from 165 countries to tour 3,300 exhibitors from 67 countries.
K 2019 comes at an exciting time for the plastics industry, which has come under heavy criticism as it does have a huge waste problem.
“Never before has the industry put the sustainability and recycling at such a high a priority and also to train the public how to use the plastics more responsibly,” in President and CEO of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, said at the opening news conference on Oct. 15.
One clearly gets the feeling that the industry has taken an important step to find solutions to this and is embarking on the journey to a circular economy. It is a positive sign that the plastics industry isn’t fighting this trend. Companies are exploring ways to be part of this transition.
FAS Converting is also part of this. “We are growing our company across all departments to become more responsive to your needs and challenges. We are investing in talented people, adopting standardized procedures in our production. We strive to build our machines to become more efficient, to use less energy per produced product with less waste and a smaller physical as well as Carbon footprint”,
says Stefan Berg, CEO at FAS Converting.
– Many new contacts were taken at K2019 and we are now working with many requests. – Three concept lines were sold and there is more to come, says Joakim Sjödin, Sales Manager at FAS Converting.
As a long-term “K”-exhibitor of bag on roll machinery, we noticed a major change in the interest this time compared to previous shows. New companies from all over the world showed big interest and were curios in our solutions for production of garbage bags on roll. Everything from small family owned companies up to large corporations with millions in turnover. Some of them are recyclers looking to increase their profits by entering the bag making business with their material. Current producers of single use carrier bags see their market decreasing as these bags are now becoming prohibited, they are now in a transition phase of changing their production into trash bags made of recycled material.
As a manufacturer with long experience and state-of-the-art technology for recycled material, we are glad to support the market and contribute with know-how and solutions that will help the market to step in to the circular economy. And of course it’s not a secret that this is a big business opportunity for us as company since this has always been our main focus and core strength, Joakim continuous.

Three deals closed!
Many of you have seen our very popular Euroline demonstrated at shows and exhibitions in various markets. At the K2019 fair, we introduced our new and improved Euroline 2.0.
We showed two complete bag making lines, both lines were “live” and produced trash bags on roll made out of 100% recycled material. Euroline with a maximum speed of 100 m/min, and the premium line with the ability to run up to 180 m/min.
The numbers of our visitors increased since last show. K2019 is truly global and we hosted visitors from all over the world and many were new to us.
– We closed three deals at the K2019, and that’s an all-time high for FAS Converting, Joakim Sjödin, Sales Manager at FAS converting says.
